Creating an clone of you hard drive

This is used for making an exact copy of you hard drive it's good for putting an old drive on to a new drive

  1. insert the norton boot disk

  2. let the computer boot up it will come to a splash screen click enter

  3. click the menu and d go to "local"

  4. then go to "drive"

  5. and select "to drive"

  6. select the source drive (the drive you want to make the copy of)

  7. then pick the destination disk (where you want to put the cloned information) *this will erase everything on the destination drive

  8. it will tell you the time left after a few mins.

The other clone is partition to partition you only use this if you have a hard drive split into separate partitions

  1. start from step 3. above

  2. instead of drive you'll select "partition"

  3. and then "to partition"

  4. it will ask you the source drive and then the source partition

  5. and then the step should be the same as the top at step 6.
