Creating an image of you hard drive

You'll want to use this to make a back-up of your computer to save space and it's only one or two files

  1. insert the norton boot disk

  2. let the computer boot up it will come to a splash screen click enter

  3. click the menu and d go to "local"

  4. then go to "drive"

  5. and select "to image"

  6. The next menu you will ask you for a location

  7. select the fold or drive that you want to save the image to you can also pick the name

  8. after you do that it will ask you about compression rates the best one the use is fast for the slight compression and stability of the file

  9. it will tell you the time left after a few mins.

The other way to make an image is partition to partition you only use this if you have a hard drive split into separate partitions

  1. you'll pick-up here from step 3.

  2. got to "partition"

  3. and then "to image"

  4. the rest of the steps will follow up the same way as above starting at step 6
